Project Information

Destravis was engaged by Health Infrastructure, NSW as part of the master planning team to develop a comprehensive view of infrastructure requirements to support the anticipated health service needs and associated education, research and industry engagement facilities to support the Randwick Academic Health Science Precinct.

This multi-faceted project involved a comprehensive masterplan of the Randwick Precinct, understanding the site’s potential to support short, medium and long term expansion of health care.

Underpinning the masterplan were multiple strategic functional briefs derived from Clinical Services plans as well as the anticipated needs of the education and research partners of the hospitals on the Randwick Precinct.

The Destravis team lead the development of an Integrated Planning Strategy informed by education, research and industry engagement facilitated by Destravis.  We developed strategic functional briefs, engaging with user groups from the multiple transdisciplinary stakeholders representing the project including the Prince of Wales, the Royal Women’s Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the University of NSW, the University of Technology Sydney and other institutions.

During business case development, Destravis also performed the role of Design Manager for the Schematic Design team of the complex facility to inform the Detailed Business Case.
