Project Information

The  Faculty of Business at UTS took the opportunity a new building to rethink the way staff engaged with each other, students and the broader community.

D John Holm led the engagement and briefing which considered of emergent workplace models for both administrative and academic staff, the continued evolution of teaching and learning spaces responding to the demands for increased active learning pedagogics, as well as industry engagement spaces including Executive Education and the Graduate School of Business.

The workplace model proposed provides opportunity for significant growth through to 2020, predicated on the adoption of a more team focused working arrangements rather than traditional academic offices.

The teaching and learning spaces in the new building are inherently collaborative, focused on providing authentic learning experiences for large groups of up to 200 students. The large collaborative lecture theatre along with learning studios are designed to support small group learning.
