Project Information

Destravis was engaged by West Moreton Hospital and Health Service (WMHHS) to undertake Strategic Service Planning for future service delivery to its growing population and concluding with Strategic Infrastructure Plans.

The Destravis scope was separable into a number of critical activities, including:

  • A HHS-wide Strategic Service Plan which aims to increase capacity for health care delivery across the HHS and connect the network of partnerships for future service provision through a number of service strategies
  • A Clinical Service Plan Roadmap which defined WMHHS’s clinical service strategies as articulated in the WMHHS Strategic Plan 2017-21 and to identify future health service needs to 2036/37
  • Master Plans for Hospital and Non-Hospital facilities (7) across the HHS, including:
    • Ipswich Hospital
    • Boonah, Esk, Gatton and Laidley Hospitals
    • Goodna and Gailes Community Health Centres.
  • Ipswich Health Precinct Preliminary Business Case for submission to the Investment Review Committee (IRC) for endorsement and funding approval of Stage 1 of the Ipswich Hospital Master Plan.

Prior to Destravis engagement, WMHHS had spent years on developing cases for the future of Ipswich Hospital. In under a year, Destravis has been able to establish a HHS-wide strategy and develop a staged plan for the realisation of an Ipswich Health Precinct which has support from WMHHS, Department of Health and external stakeholders in the Region.
